The full programme of events and participating venues for Dublin Culture Night 2008 is available on www.culturenight.ie or by calling TBCT on 01 888 3610. All events are free but booking is essential for some events so people must book directly with the cultural venue where indicated to avoid disappointment.

Temple Bar Cultural Trust are currently looking for a number of volunteers for Culture Night, Dublin 2008 where for one night only, over 100 of Dublin city’s museums, galleries, theatres, historic houses, cathedrals, artists studios and cultural centres will open their doors for Dubliners and visitors alike to join them for a FREE night of entertainment, discovery and adventure.

Cow's Lane scoops first prize at City Neighbourhoods Competition 2008

Temple Bar Cultural Trust picked up the award for Cow’s Lane last night as the street won the overall prize in the Best Mixed Use Street Category at this years City Neighbourhood Awards Competition. The competition is an initiative of Dublin City Council and prizes were announced by Kevin O’Sullivan, Public Domain Officer of the South East Area.

Culture Night 2008 – Design Competition exhibition at the Temple Bar Cultural Information Centre

To reflect the wide diversity of venues participating and scheduled events a new logo had to be created to represent Culture Night’s visual identity. A design competition was established and third year design students from DIT and IADT were invited to submit their ideas. There were 29 entries in total and the winning design came from Dubliner Lorna Melody, a Visual Communication student at DIT, Mountjoy Square.
